I created this website in 2001, when I first began photographing the quarries of Cape Ann.
After visiting so many quarries in the North Eastern United States, I have returned to chronicle my 20 year journey
across the icy floor of Babson Quarry, the dawn to dusk rhythms of resilient nature,
and the ever present dust of granite history.
